Discarding (or "snoozing") a tab unloads it from memory to free up CPU and RAM, but keeps it visible in your tab bar. The tab isn't closed, when you click it, it reloads exactly where you left off. Tab Bandit handles this automatically in the background and gives you manual controls.

How to Use

Visual indicator:

Enable the 💤 emoji in Settings to see a sleep icon in the title of snoozed tabs.

Automatic discarding:

Tab Bandit auto-discards tabs you haven't touched after a set period (default: 10 minutes). This runs silently in the background. You can adjust the timer or disable it entirely in Settings.

Manual discarding from the Pop Up:

  1. Click the Tab Bandit icon.
  2. Open the Discard dropdown.
