Tab Bandit is designed to work well out of the box, but every workflow is different. Fine-tune how the extension behaves from the Settings panel.

What You Can Do
- Adjust the auto-discard timer: choose how long a tab must be inactive before it's snoozed (default: 10 minutes).
- Whitelist sites: protect specific URLs or domains so they're never discarded (e.g., Spotify, Slack, Google Meet).
- Protect special tabs: by default, tabs playing audio, with unsaved forms, or on active video calls are never snoozed. Toggle these protections on or off.
- Enable the 💤 visual indicator — optionally show a sleep emoji in the title of snoozed tabs so you can spot them at a glance.
- Configure URL copy format: choose between Plain Text, HTML links, Markdown, or JSON.
- Set URL opening behavior: choose "Open fast, load later" to create tabs without loading heavy pages until you click them.
- Toggle Zoom auto-close: enable or disable automatic closing of Zoom launcher tabs, and adjust the countdown timer.
- Toggle Google Account auto-switcher: enable or disable automatic account switching on Google Workspace "Permission Denied" pages.
- Enable right-click context menus: add "Discard" and "Clear Site Data" options to your right-click menu for quick access on any page.
- Toggle Usage Analytics: turn screen time tracking and site categorization on or off.
- Customize site categories: reassign sites to different categories (e.g., move Twitter from "Social" to "Work").
- Reset to defaults: restore all settings to their original state from the Settings page.

Pro Tip: If you open the same tabs every day (email, Slack, a project board), whitelist them in Settings and save them as a session. They'll never get snoozed, and you can restore your whole setup in one click after a restart.
